3 Steps

The Journey of Mentoring starts with both Parties discussing how they want to structure their partnership.
Step 1
Building Rapport and getting acquainted:
Both parties start with what they have in Common. Break the Ice by talking about family, hobbies, interest, and personal histories with personal private matters at bay,
Find commonalities, i.e similar career path, common skills. Look for smilar behavoural styles that compliment each other.
Step 2
Discuss Mentoring Goals:
Both Mentor and Mentee should make sure they are both clear about what the Mentee hopes to gain from the process.
Useful Questions for guide:
What are your vision and Aspirations?
Where are you now?
What are your weaknesses, Strenghts, and Beahavioural style?
What do you intend to gain from this mentoring relationship?
Step 3
Read and sign the Mentoring Agreement:
Discuss and sign the Women2Women Mentoring agreement.
It includes terms of condition, time commitments, goals, general rules of behaviour, parameters of confidentiality and period likely to end the partnership.
To be signed by both parties with one copy sent back to Women2Women Mnetoring Network.
